Our Story

Hues of Hope was born from the love I shared with a dog named Hue.I adopted Hue while I was in college — he was a foster fail from the Pet Resource Center and had been their longest resident. From the moment he came into my life, he brought me a kind of comfort, loyalty, and love I didn’t know was possible. Hue saw me through some of the hardest chapters of my life. He didn’t just become my best friend — he saved me in more ways than I can ever explain. In 2024, Hue was diagnosed with cancer. I did everything I could to save him, including chemotherapy, but he passed away in May. Three years with him wasn’t long enough, but no amount of time ever would’ve been. After losing him, I knew I had to find a way to honor the unconditional love he gave me. That’s how Hues of Hope came to life — as his legacy, and a way for me to help others find their own “Hue.”This rescue exists because of him — because I believe everyone deserves to feel the kind of love and companionship Hue gave me. My mission is to help dogs find their soul people, and people find their soul dogs.

About Hues of Hope

Hues of Hope is a foster-based animal rescue founded in December 2024, rooted in compassion, second chances, and deep connection.I’m Hannah, a lifelong animal lover and full-time pet sitter. My journey into rescue began naturally — through years of caring for other people’s pets, adopting my own rescue dogs, and building meaningful bonds with animals in need. Over time, my home became a safe space for dogs who had nowhere else to go. One of those dogs was Avery, who was left behind after a client never returned — she became family until she passed in March 2025. Then came Lulu, left tied to a tree in September 2025, who I fostered and couldn’t let go of. These dogs shaped me, and so did the community around me.At Hues of Hope, we focus on quality over quantity. Each animal receives individual attention, love, and care — we get to know their personalities, needs, and quirks so we can match them with the right person or family. No matter an animal’s backstory, we believe they deserve a second chance — and a life filled with color, safety, and joy.We are committed to adding vibrance to every animal’s story by helping them find not just a home, but the right home.We also believe rescue is about more than one person or one home. That’s why we’re building a community of fosters, donors, and animal lovers who want to make a difference. Whether you open your home, your heart, or just share a post — you’re part of the mission.Every dog has a story. We’re here to help write their next chapter — one filled with love, joy, and a second chance.

Foster/adopt

Fostering provides a lifeline for animals in need — it gives them the space, safety, and love they’ve often never known. For many of the animals we rescue, a foster home is their very first experience with kindness. It’s where they learn to trust, to heal, and to begin again.By opening your home to a foster animal, you’re not just helping that one life — you’re creating space for us to rescue another. You’re part of the reason a scared, overlooked animal gets to sleep inside tonight instead of in a shelter kennel or on the street. When you become a foster, you temporarily welcome an animal into your home and your heart. You help them learn what it means to be loved, to play, to rest, and to feel safe. We’ll provide everything you need — supplies, support, and guidance — so you can focus on giving them the chance they deserve. And when that animal finds their forever home, you’ll know you helped rewrite their story.Whether you’re ready to adopt your new best friend or simply give an animal a safe place to land, you are making a life-saving difference.👉 [Foster Application Button]
